Subsea Operations Manager (Diving & ROV)

With over 40 years of hands-on experience in the offshore industry, Peter Richardson is a globally respected Subsea Operations Manager, bringing a wealth of knowledge in diving, ROV, and offshore construction. Peter’s career began at the Underwater Training Centre in Cronulla, Sydney in 1980, and has since seen him operate across the globe—from the North Sea to the South China Sea, Saudi Arabia to the Caribbean, and many locations in between.

Peter holds the prestigious Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, as well as an Advanced Diploma of Hyperbaric Operations. He’s also a qualified TAE Certificate IV Trainer & Assessor and certified OGP Client Worksite Representative—skills which he applies to mentoring and leading teams in high-pressure offshore environments.

Peter has served in numerous senior roles, including Diving/ROV Advisor, Project Coordinator, Worksite Representative, and Vessel Owner’s Representative for major oil and gas projects, notably with SapuraKencana TL Offshore and clients such as ExxonMobil, Petrofac, Murphy Oil, and Talisman. His ability to manage complex offshore operations, conduct risk assessments, and ensure strict adherence to safety standards is second to none.
